As a former contracted worker in MNPS, I saw firsthand many of the problems that plague our local school system. I joined my fellow teachers in the Nashville chapter of Red4Ed, a nationwide movement fighting for fully funded schools through a variety of avenues, including legislation.

The Buttons
In support of their efforts, I started playing around with some designs and ended up landing on one that we decided to use to make buttons. Because the practice of Red4Ed is to wear red shirts, we decided to order just the white buttons. We ordered 100 and ran out of them at the first March for Public Funding that we took them to.
The Car Magnets
The buttons were a success, but my colleague at Red4Ed wanted them to have more visibility. She wanted a car magnet. And boy were we lucky when someone donated the money to have 200 made and delivered.
But 200 wasn't enough.
300 more wasn't enough.
People have begun ordering these on their own, and as long as the money makes it back to Red4Ed and no one is making a profit off of it, I'm letting them run with it.
